To qualify for the education requirement, you must satisfy one condition: possess an accredited bachelor's degree or higher from a college or university.
Before you're eligible to take the exam, it is imperative that all coursework be fulfilled. You are provided with a five year window from when you pass the DSFP exam in order to meet the minimum bachelor's degree requirement.
Acquiring your DSFP certification is an indication of the knowledge and expertise you possess to provide in-depth individual financial planning advice.
To be eligible for the DSFP Certification you need at least two years' professional experience in one or more of the following industries:

● Asset Management
● Construction and Real Estate Development
● Engineering and Sustainability

If the candidate has a master’s degree at an accredited University, one year may be deducted from the 4 year industry experience requirement. Additionally, if a candidate is certified in any of the certifications listed in the approved certification section and membership is current, then additional year can be taken off per accreditation.
